No Country for Old Men (2007)

If you're the type of person who likes neat endings, the kind where everything wraps up nicely... Then this isn't the movie for you. I suppose the plot follows the classic three Western characters, the bad guy, the independant 'gunslinger' and the law man, chasing eachother and 2 millions dollars across the desert. I'm not sure if this movie would fall under the category of thriller or drama, because it has elements from both genres. For the most part the movie is straight forward and easy to follow. It does put a bit of a spin on the classic Western story, and it leaves you wondering just who came out on top. Though the movie was good over all it really didn't live up to it's full potential or all of the media hype that followed it's theatrrical release back in 2007. If you're a Western fan, or just in the mood for something different (or even a bit bizzare) then I would recomend checkinh out No Country for Old Men. Don't expect to be blown away, but don't expect to be bored either. You won't be with this blood and guts Western 'style' thriller.
