8-01-2008 Big Eden (2000) I don't even know how to begin to tell you what an amazingly good movie this is. It's a heartwarming love story featuring a successful but ultimately lonely, Henry Hart. When he comes back to his small home town of Big Eden to care for his sick grandfather Sam (Sampa to you), he must confront his feelings for his old best friend Dean, and the man that the entire town seems to want to set him up with, Pike. Full of great characters and cute plot lines, this is one of those rare feel good movies with an actually plausible plot. Of course there are times when things seem a little phony or contrived, but over all it is a remarkable movie and a true must see for any fan of romance! Let's just say, there's a reason this movie's won 10 Film Festival Audience Choice Awards! It's incredible! Favorite Line: Jim: There's so few nice surprises in life. Seems to me that it'd be kind of a shame to squander one of them, don't ya think?
