8-09-2008 Pineapple Express (2008) What can I say about Pineapple Express? I could say that it’s another fantastically funny movie from the guys who brought you Superbad (2007) and The 40 Year Old Virgin (2005). I could say that I laughed so hard at times that I almost embarrassed myself. I could say that not only is it one of the funniest movies I’ve seen this year, it’s also one of the bloodiest (and how many times do you get to say that?). I could say all that, and it’d all be true. This movie is a great ‘stoner’ and ‘bro-mance’ comedy that will leave you feeling slightly giddy. My only beef is that the ending left a little to be desired. But on the whole, it’s a great movie (not a family film people!) and I highly recommend it for comedy lovers everywhere. Favorite Line: Dale Denton: Oh, oh, it's a roach. It's a joint. I have anorexia. Honest I thought it was decriminalized.

7-19-2008 Just One of the Guys (1985) A pretty cute movie. The story is about a girl who decides to dress up as a guy to see if she will be taken more seriously as a journalist. It’s inevitable that she ends up falling for her new guy best friend, who of course has no idea that she’s really a girl! The movie has a few things to say about gender stereotypes, but some might think it’s a bit out of date now (the movie was made over 20 years ago). If you’re looking for something light and fluffy that doesn’t take itself too seriously, than this is the movie for you. A good family movie just watch out for some partial nudity towards the end of the film.
Favorite Line:
Bobby: Don't get me wrong. It's not like I've never had sex before; I've had lots of sex. It's just that now I'd like to try it with a partner.
